Android beta testers wanted

BetterGecko is a companion app for GeyserGecko solar geyser controllers. Before it can launch on Google Play, Google requires at least 12 people to test it for 14 days. It takes two minutes to join.

You don't need a GeyserGecko to help. Tap Try the demo on the sign-in screen to explore the app with a simulated solar geyser. Installing it and keeping it installed for 14 days is what counts. If you do own a GeyserGecko, sign in with your usual account and tell us what you think.

How to join

  1. Use the Google account that's signed in to the Play Store on your Android phone.
  2. Open the opt-in page and tap Become a tester:
    play.google.com/apps/testing/com.bettergecko.app
  3. Install the app from Google Play:
    BetterGecko on Google Play
    It may show as com.bettergecko.app (unreviewed) for now. That's expected.
  4. Keep it installed for at least 14 days, and open it every few days.

If the opt-in page says the app isn't available, tell us the email of your Google account and we'll add you to the tester list.
