BetterGecko is a companion app for GeyserGecko solar geyser controllers, on iPhone, iPad and Android. Monitor temperatures and solar or element heating, view history graphs, track electricity cost, and change setpoints and operating mode.

Common questions

Which account do I sign in with? Your existing GeyserGecko account, the same one you use on the GeyserGecko website.
I can't change settings. Your account needs control rights for the device. The app shows a warning when it doesn't have them; ask the device's owner or installer.
Why can't the solar setpoint be lower than the element setpoint? The solar (PV) target must be at least the element (AC) target, otherwise the element would heat water the panels could have heated for free.
How is electricity cost calculated? From the time the element was on, multiplied by the element rating and the rate you enter in the app. It is an estimate, not a meter reading.
